We happened upon this place by accident and I'm so glad we did! Our server Mel was the sweetest! She put up with our family and our shenanigans and didn't even seem bothered by us.

The place is primarily seafood, but there are some chicken options. I will say the veggie taco was a little strange. It had orange carrots, yellow carrots, and pea pods in it. It tasted fine, it was just strange. Everyone enjoyed their food: mahi taco, chicken taco, gator taco, cheese quesadilla, cheeseburger. The fries were fresh and hot! So yummy! I also really enjoyed their cole slaw which was more vinegar then creamy/mayo based like some.

Next time we are passing through, we will definitely stop again!

This is probably the best restaurant in Okeechobee. They definitely have the best seafood and it's not even close. You have to try the fried gator.

I normally get the fried shrimp and lobster tacos. You really can't go wrong with that combination. It's the best of both worlds.

They also have some excellent key lime pie. I'm not really a dessert person but I'm a sucker for some key lime pie. The pricing isn't too bad either.

This place was great!!  We came to Okeechobee to camp at the KOA.  We were starving from camp set up and decided to check out the local food.  When we arrived it was very empty.  We arrived at around 1:30p.  Our server was friendly and gave us great recommendations.  We had the fish and chips and the fish, shrimp and crab cakes.  Both came with coleslaw and fries.  The coleslaw is a vinegar base so it may not be everyone's cup of tea.  The fries were seasoned with Old Bay seasoning (I think).  I was worried because it seemed like too much seasoning but they were very good.  The tartar sauce was really good also , however the cocktail sauce could have used more horseradish (don't get me wrong it was good, more personal preference). The fish was breaded with a cornbread coating, it was flaky and moist.  The shrimp were cooked well and had a nice snap to them. The crab cake was large and had a lot of crabmeat in it.  Would definitely be a place to go to again.

In the heart of Okeechobee is restaurant that offers rare value and that's the Tin Fish. The decor is industrial and surprisingly chic. The menu is deep and, if you like fish and seafood, you're in luck.

I had fish tacos, which were cooked perfectly. Crispy hot fish and a tangy sauce that had heat without the burn. My wife had an off-menu chicken sandwich and fries. Our food got there so fast I thought it was a mistake.

Chic decor, snappy service, good food and a kitchen that's impossibly fast makes the Tin Fish a must stop in Central Florida.

Okay so I was super skeptical because this was one of the restaurants closest to me (never been around this part of Florida). The restaurant was kinda empty but I went with it because I was starving and we do like sea food.

Our waitress was really nice and the workers were really kind to my baby and I. The one helping us had just had a baby too :) so service was great.

As for the food also Great! I was a bit scared but I do want to come back and try their carrot cake. I just started my diet so I didn't want to order it today. I got their famous fish sandwich and it was really really good. I loved the cole slaw wasn't as fatty as the ones that have mayo everywhere this was tasty and without all the extra.
